Competence certificate for drivers of emergency vehicles
The application must be submitted by anyone wishing to drive emergency vehicles.
Anyone wishing to obtain a competence certificate for emergency vehicle driving.
The following documentation shall be enclosed with the application:
- The applicant must include a copy of their driver's licence class B (both front and back).
- The applicant must provide documentation of completing a mandatory course for emergency vehicles, including passing both the theory test and practical driving test.
- The applicant must submit a medical certificate and meet the same health and vision requirements as those for driver's licence class D.
- The applicant must be able to document employment or volunteer work involving emergency vehicles.
The documentation must not be older than 6 months.
Criteria/conditions:
- The applicant must have had a driver's licence Class B uninterrupted for the past 2 years.
- The applicant must have completed a mandatory course for emergency driving and passed both the theory test and the driving test.
- The applicant must be at least 20 years old.
- The applicant must submit a medical certificate and meet the same health and vision requirements as for a class D driver's licence.
- The applicant must be able to document employment or volunteer work involving emergency driving.
- The competence certificate for emergency driving is valid for five years.
